| Dr. Mascia received his medical degree
from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and
completed his residency in pediatrics at the Medical College of Virginia
in Richmond, Virginia .While at the Medical College of Virginia, Dr.
Mascia served as both Chief Resident and Instructor in the Department of
Pediatrics. Prior to settling back in the Western New York area, Dr.
Mascia worked at a pediatric practice in suburban Washington, D.C. He is
certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the
American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Mascia resides in Hamburg with his wife.Since returning to the
area he enjoys spending time with his family and friends and
“re-discovering” the Western New York community.

Dr. Piwko completed her undergraduate degree at Colgate University and her medical degree at State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at the Children’s Hospital of Buffalo. Prior to joining Tonawanda Pediatrics in 2001, Dr. Piwko also participated in a Fellowship in Neonatology.
Dr. Piwko is Board Certified in Pediatrics and has performed research in the areas of neuroscience and pulmonology. She has published a study on asthma and obesity in Archives of Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine. She also authored a chapter in Emedicine's online Pediatric textbook.
She enjoys spending time with her husband and three children. Dr. Piwko received the Buffalo Pediatric Society award for Outstanding Pediatric Skills.

Dr. Segal graduated summa cum laude from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelors of Arts in English and Sociology. She received her Medical Degree from George Washington University and completed her residency at Children's Hospital of Buffalo. She held the position of Physician and Medical Director for the Erie County Health Department's Maternity and Infant Care Project, working with high risk mothers and infants. Dr. Segal brings to Tonawanda Pediatrics past experience as a counselor for chemically dependent women, adolescents and their families. She is Board Certified and a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
Dr. Segal is married and the mother of three children. She also has 2 dogs, a cat and a bird. She enjoys power walking, reading, music, gardening and dancing. "I feel that I have learned the most about life from children, mine and yours."

| Dr. Szalkowski received
his undergraduate
degree in Pharmacy and medical degree at the State University of New York at Buffalo.
He completed his residency in Pediatrics at the Children's Hospital of
Buffalo and joined
Tonawanda Pediatrics in 1992. Dr. Szalkowski is Board Certified in
Pediatrics.
He serves as a school
physician for both the Tonawanda and Starpoint Schools and coordinates Tonawanda Pediatrics role as school physicians for the North
Tonawanda Schools.
Dr. Szalkowski resides in Pendleton with his wife and 2 sons.
He is active in
the community by serving on the Pendleton Recreation Board and
coordinating and coaching Little League Baseball. |

Dr. Lopat Winters received
her undergraduate and medical degree from the State University of New York
at Buffalo. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at the Children's
Hospital of Buffalo and joined Tonawanda Pediatrics in 1995. Dr. Lopat Winters is Board Certified in Pediatrics. "I find it fascinating and rewarding to be part of a child's growth and development and as a Pediatrician and advocate, to be able to make a difference in a child's life." When not in the office, you can find Dr. Lopat Winters along the Niagara River swimming with her husband, Dan, and the Nickel City Masters Swim Club. |
